GDPR Training for hse podiatrists .HSE Land

Dear Colleagues,

You will recall I flagged up recently that we were developing an e-learning module on HSEland on the Fundamentals of GDPR for all staff. I am pleased to inform you that the training module will go live on HSELand on Tuesday 7th May 2019. This learning module will make all staff of the HSE aware of their responsibilities under GDPR so that they will be compliant in the way that they process the personal data of service users and employees of the HSE and keep it safe and secure. They will also learn how to respond to an incident when personal data is not processed correctly (called a data breach). In addition they will also know how to direct a service user to get a copy of their personal data when requested.

As you will be aware the HSE is obliged to keep safe and secure all service users personal information and employees personal information and failure to do so could result in heavy administrative fines being imposed on the HSE. It is therefore imperative that all HSE staff take the time to undertake this module of training as soon as possible. In that regard I am requesting that you bring this training module on GDPR to the attention of all management and staff under your area of responsibility and support and encourage all management and staff to undertake this short course on GDPR as soon as possible. We will be monitoring the numbers taking the course over the next few months.

As it is extremely important that the HSE complies with GDPR I trust you will give this request your immediate attention and I look forward to your on-going cooperation with this matter.

With kind regards,

Joe Ryan
